Indiana Wesleyan Crosses CRM with Predictive Modeling

Indiana Wesleyan University, Marion, IN, is deploying a CRM solution from Talisma (Talisma Multi-channel CRM for Higher Education) that will be coupled with Noel-Levitz' predictive modeling tool ForecastPlus to help sharpen its enrollment and recruiting efforts.

The two technologies will be deployed in such a way as to help the university focus its efforts on recruiting prospects that are most likely to enroll and that are desirable to the university based on various criteria.

To this end, ForecastPlus will be used to process prospects and feed data about them--including 125 variables that can predict enrollment behavior--into the Talisma system directly. The Talisma CRM will then, according to the company, "segment the identified top prospects and automatically initiate communication plans targeted to prospective students and deliver personalized messages via e-mail, telephone, hard copy letter, and eventually SMS text messaging.  Based on the resulting action or lack of action, prospects will continue to flow through the communication plan, and those that apply will ultimately be fed into the Datatel Colleague SIS."

Said Dave Pearson, assistant vice president of enrollment at Indiana Wesleyan, "Partnering with Noel-Levitz and Talisma, both of whom are benchmark leaders in enrollment programs, has allowed us to continue our tradition of excellence.  The cutting-edge technologies that these organizations are able to provide will ultimately take IWU's enrollment management program to the next level."

Indiana Wesleyan University is a private institution that serves around 9,000 students total.
