JP Morgan, Syracuse Partner on Financial IT Curriculum

Investment banking firm JP Morgan Chase announced a $30 million partnership with Syracuse University designed to supply the bank with graduates trained in financial and information technology.In return, the school will receive funding for a new technology center on campus as well as help creating a curriculum focused on financial and information technology.
The school's Center for Science and Technology will be the home of the partnership until the center is built, according a report by Syracuse News 10 Now Time-Warner Cable.
The partnership will bring together technology experts from JP Morgan and scholars from Syracuse's law, public policy, and management schools. Syracuse said it would start teaching some classes with the new curriculum next fall. Construction for the technology center will happen shortly after that.
